SPECIAL TWELFTH ANNIVERSARY BANDCAMP RELEASE LINER NOTES BY MATT HARNISH:

I can't help it. I love Christmas songs. I love the very idea of Christmas songs. I love when bands who normally would never think of doing Christmas songs do Christmas songs. There are too many Christmas songs out there already, but it was only natural that my fledgling record label would add to the glut. I asked some folks, I booked some release shows, I got the thing done in time. Top memories: all-day Julia Sets/Fantasy Four/Phonocaptors recording party at that space downtown where Punk Paradise used to be, the emergence of Butt as a live-show playing entity, the best show I ever saw the Flamerz play. This is probably my favorite volume.

MORE NOTES BY PANCAKE MASTER:

I transcribed the liner notes for each individual track (and those for the whole album) as best I could. The print on the insert is REALLY small. I've included the contact information, even, just for nostalgia's sake, and/but much of that is probably no longer current (especially considering just one of the bands on this thing is still even a band, and they perform live about once every Halley's Comet). If you want me to take that contact information down, just lemme know. I've also preserved whatever mistakes might actually have been written in the liner notes (e.g. "Frogpants" hah hah). I don't know the actual release date so I'm just putting December 1st of MMII. I know at least one of the release shows (Julia Sets / Flamerz / Butt?) was at Radio Cherokee. I was there, and it was incredible.
