SPECIAL SEVENTH ANNIVERSARY BANDCAMP RELEASE LINER NOTES BY MATT HARNISH:

I'd given up on paying for those all-day recording parties, but got a solid set of songs anyway, & had some of the better attended release shows. Of course, this was a year that the discs were late in getting back, so I had to sell CD-rs at 'em. D'oh! Even with that, this is probably my favorite volume. Favorite memories: Tape Deck Sonata's use of "the shitter's full!" & a bunch of people getting honestly mad that anybody would have the nerve to cover "Fairytale Of New York."

MORE NOTES BY PANCAKE MASTER:

I think the first time I saw Pokey LaFarge live in concert was for one of this compilation's release shows, at Off Broadway. He's not on the album, though, weirdly. I also recall writing a track-by-track one-sentence-each review of this thing on MySpace somewhere but it might be lost to the ether of the world wide web.
